We are looking for a Cyber Data Architect for a 18 Month contract based in Bristol (3-4 days in office required)on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet\'s vital power needs.

Purpose of the Role:

The Cyber Data Architect will work as part of the Cyber Delivery Team from a data Security perspective leading across several projects. Work collaboratively with Business Stakeholders, IT vendors and other Architects to design or update IT and security solutions, making sure the data is stored and managed securely and in accordance with regulatory requirements, the organisations strategy and risk management framework.

As a Cyber Data Architect you will be responsible for:

  • Design and implement data security solutions to protect sensitive data.
  • Develop, maintain and implement policy, standards, and guidelines in the following areas:
  • Data Analytics
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Data Access
  • Data Loss Prevention
  • Data Security and Classification
  • Data Encryption
  • Data Inventory and Mapping and Immutable Storage.
  • Identify Regulatory requirements within scope of this role (Privacy, Classification, Export Control, etc.).
  • Conduct data discovery, risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security threats across the IT environment.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure compliance with data security standards.
  • Leading Data Migration/System Integration solutions.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Candidates must hold or be eligible to receive ACTIVE SC Clearance (Active Clearance highly advantageous).
  • Experience with data security compliance regulations, such as UK Gov classification, GDPR, HIPAA, EAR/ITAR.
  • Experience with data security technologies, such as Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data classification, data loss prevention, and data encryption.
  • Advise on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism.
  • Absorbs technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
