Cyber Defence Manager

, you'll lead our Cyber Defence "Blue Team", leading a

small remote team

, driving operational excellence and strategic resilience across a complex, distributed digital landscape.
Your leadership will help safeguard the systems that support veterinary care and innovation worldwide--protecting what matters most.

What You'll Do


This hands-on leadership role puts you at the heart of our cybersecurity strategy. You'll work across IT, digital, and regional teams to embed a strong cyber culture and deliver robust defenses.
You'll own the security roadmap, optimise tooling, and manage risk across cloud and on-prem environments. You'll guide secure design, lead incident response, and oversee tools like Defender, Sentinel, Tenable, and CASB. You'll also drive global alignment, maintain governance documentation, and lead working groups to ensure consistency and resilience.

What You Bring

Essential:


Degree or equivalent experience in Information Security
Certifications (e.g. Security+, CEH, CySA+, Cloud Security Engineer)
Proven cybersecurity experience, especially incident response
Strong AWS and Azure knowledge
Familiarity with NIST, ISO, COBIT, OWASP
PowerShell and automation skills
Flexibility for occasional travel and out-of-hours support

Desirable:


Experience with MxDR/SOC, SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls
Knowledge of GDPR, Cyber Essentials+, PCI-DSS
Understanding of data protection legislation
