A range of specialisms exist in this essential exciting and rewarding area. You may specialise in just one area or operate across multiple cyber security disciplines. We understand this is a broad area and you need not cover all the areas listed but are looking for individuals who want to support and continue to develop and grow in multiple areas.



Typically, you will be involved in some of the following:Network Security - Understanding network configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and network segmentation strategies. Ethical Hacking - Practicing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify security vulnerabilities in systems. Incident Response - Managing and mitigating cyber attacks or breaches efficiently, understanding how to contain the breach and recover. Security Auditing - Reviewing systems and procedures to ensure compliance with security policies and standards. Digital Forensics - Analysing digital information to uncover what occurred during a cyber incident and recovering and analysing data. Risk Analysis - Evaluating and prioritising potential threats to an organisation's systems and digital assets. Threat Intelligence - Collecting and analysing information about existing and potential attacks that may threaten an organisation or its systems. Security Policy Development - Creating and implementing security policies that protect an organisation's digital systems. User Education and Awareness - Coaching employees on security best practices, potential threats, and preventive measures. Compliance and Regulatory Understanding - Understanding of compliance laws and regulations that affect industry standards. Access Management - Defining controls on who can access data, information and computing resources, at varying roles and levels. Cloud Security - Understanding of security in the cloud and how to design and implement strategies on hyperscale cloud providers. Cryptography - Applying principles of cryptography to secure communications and to protect data from unauthorised access or alteration. Security Architecture - Designing, building, and maintaining secure systems based on evolving business needs.

Required skills, qualifications and experience




Demonstrable experience in the aforementioned areas in the specification, design and implementation of these capabilities. The ability to work within an agile environment and delivering using SCRUM and Sprints utilising tools such as Jira and Confluence to help planning and collaboration.



Understanding of DevSecOps principles and working within a multi-disciplined teams delivering a common objective. Knowledge and understanding of core software tools such a Git, GitLab and IaC automation frameworks to reliably integrate and deploy features and changes into environments to quickly delivery optimum outcomes to our customers.
