The Role:

We're seeking a?Cybersecurity Reporter?to cover breaking news, industry developments, and expert insights for our digital publication and newsletter, which reach more than 50,000 readers worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for a journalist who's passionate about cybersecurity, enjoys building sources, and thrives on producing timely, accurate, and engaging stories.

Key Responsibilities:

Report on the latest developments across the cybersecurity industry Attend major cybersecurity conferences and events globally, providing on-the-ground coverage, interviews, and analysis Develop and maintain relationships with key figures across the cybersecurity community, including CISOs, researchers, vendors, and analysts Conduct interviews with industry experts and executives to generate exclusive insights and commentary Pitch, research, and write original news stories, features, and Q&As for our newsletter and website Monitor industry feeds, press releases, and research reports to identify timely, high-impact story ideas Collaborate with editors to ensure all reporting meets our editorial standards for accuracy, tone, and objectivity

Essential Skills:

Proven reporting experience, ideally within technology, business, or cybersecurity journalism Excellent writing and storytelling ability, with a knack for making complex topics accessible and engaging Strong news judgement Curious and inquisitive; eager to learn, ask questions, and explore new topics Skilled interviewer with the confidence to engage senior industry professionals Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and balance Self-starter comfortable balancing daily news writing with longer-term feature work

Education And Experience:

Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) Experience working in a newsroom, trade publication, or B2B editorial environment Knowledge of cybersecurity, technology policy, or enterprise IT preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
