We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment, conducting experiments, and analysing data to support various scientific research projects. This role requires a strong background in biochemistry and clinical research, as well as proficiency in data analysis tools such as MATLAB and Python.
Duties
Operate and maintain laser systems for various applications in a laboratory setting.
Conduct experiments involving laser technology, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Perform data analysis using MATLAB and Python to interpret experimental results.
Collaborate with researchers to design experiments and troubleshoot issues related to laser applications.
Utilise microscopy techniques to observe samples and gather relevant data.
Document findings meticulously and prepare reports for presentation to the research team.
Stay updated with advancements in laser technology and contribute to the development of new methodologies.
Qualifications
A degree in Biochemistry, Physics, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in clinical research or scientific research is highly desirable.
Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data analysis is essential.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
Familiarity with microscopy techniques and laboratory practices is an advantage.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are required.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
