Job Description

Wirral Child & Young Person Mental Health Service (CYPMHS previously CAMHS) 0-18 team is a therapy-based service which offers support to children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties and their families and carers. We work in close alignment with the Local Authority, education and the voluntary sector. Our aim is to ensure that children receive the right support, from the right service at the right time.



We are looking for an experienced practitioner to join and contribute to our team of friendly and supportive staff, to undertake assessments, develop formulations of need and complete pieces if therapeutic work based on evidenced based interventions



The successful applicant will be an experienced clinician who will work closely with CYPMHS leads, eating disorder specialists and members of core CYPMHS (previously CAMHS) to provide assessment and intervention within a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be committed to help to develop and drive the CYPMHS Wirral 0-18 team forward

a core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional) AND Professional registration

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
