About the role
Dacorum Borough Council declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency in 2019 and is committed to supporting a borough-wide response. A key part of this commitment is the Dacorum Climate Action Network (DCAN) -- a community-led network aimed at supporting residents, groups and organisations to take local climate action.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic DCAN Coordinator to grow and embed this exciting network, ensuring it becomes a high-impact initiative at the heart of our community climate response.
This role will lead on engagement, communications, events, and partnership working, while showcasing and amplifying climate related projects across the borough.
About you
The ideal candidate will be:
A strong communicator with excellent engagement and partnership skills. Experienced in community engagement programmes and climate/sustainability initiatives Comfortable working independently and proactively, with strong event management and organisational skills. Adept and proactive in generating content for newsletters, social media etc. Flexible to occasionally work evenings and weekends to support events.
