Farm overview:

The dairy is split block calving, 280 between 1st feb and 16th march and then a further 180 between 20th August and 5th October. Milking parlour is a 46 point waikato rotary. We also rear and finish all AA calves and dairy replacements in house.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a hard-working individual to work as a part of our farm team. You'll be part of a team of 3 plus 2 part time. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys multiple faucets of farming and is happy to turn their hand to milking, help with calves and other stock work with the replacements and beef cattle as well as feeding / bedding up the herd. We are a block calving grazing dairy with plenty of opportunities for generous rotas and time off from 15th April until 1st September, after that we usually operate a 12-2 rota through the winter plus any prearranged holiday. Starting wage depends on previous experience but happy to escalate quickly if candidate exceeds expectations.
