They are seeking a dedicated Dance Teacher to cover a one-year maternity leave starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking department where creativity and student engagement are at the heart of learning.

This role could also suit final-year trainee teachers, particularly those able to offer part-time availability from January while completing their dissertation, with the position moving to full-time from March/April for the remainder of the academic year.

The Role

Deliver engaging and inspiring Dance lessons across KS3 and KS4 Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with departmental schemes of work Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment Support school performances and extra-curricular activities within the Arts Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (final-year trainees encouraged to apply) Experience teaching Dance at KS3 and KS4 A genuine enthusiasm for performing arts and student engagement Strong organisation, teamwork, and classroom management skills
