\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0 Role - Data Analyst

Head Resourcing are delighted to be partnered with an innovative Scottish-founded e-commerce business who are looking to hire a Data Analyst to join them on their exciting journey.

Our client has ambitious goals to scale over the next few years and take their business globally.

This is a hybrid role which requires the successful candidate to be based from their Glasgow office three days per week.

Our client requires an experienced Data Analyst who will play a pivotal role in optimising their advertising strategies and sales performance by leveraging data-driven insights. Your primary focus will be on analysing advertising data, identifying trends in sales data, and recommending improvements.

Skills & experience required to be successful:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or a similar analytical role, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data interpretation
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL or Python, and experience working with digital visualization tools (e,g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Familiarity with advertising platforms and marketing analytics tools
• Qualification in Business/Data Analysis or a related field.

The ability to perform actions on a SQL Server Database including:

• Structuring data tables and views for analysis
• Writing SQL queries to analyse and reformat data
• Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
• Conditional logic
• Prepare data to make it available in Power BI
• Be comfortable explaining data to the Executive Team
• Be comfortable carrying out regression analysis
• Understand the importance of KPIs and statistics
• Know when to use R / Python / Excel / Power BI
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or a similar analytical role, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment
