Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and be proficient in various analytical tools and programming languages. This role is crucial for transforming data into actionable insights that drive decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust data pipelines to handle large-scale data for AI proctoring and secondary retail data analysis, ensuring efficient data processing and integrity. Develop, train, and refine AI models to accurately identify incidents and markers in recorded sessions, enhancing proctoring effectiveness. Utilize advanced machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch to continuously improve model accuracy and performance. Leverage AWS data services like Athena for complex queries, Glue for data integration, and AWS Lake Formation for setting up secure data lakes, to ensure robust data handling and analytics capabilities. Utilize AWS S3 for scalable storage solutions and manage access control using IAM and Cognito to ensure data security and compliance. Implement monitoring solutions using AWS CloudWatch to track application health and performance and manage sensitive credentials with AWS Secrets Manager to enhance security protocols. Integrate R Studio within the AWS ecosystem for advanced data analysis and statistical computing, facilitating deeper insights and more effective decision-making processes. Seamlessly integrate AI solutions into the proctoring platform, ensuring alignment with retail data systems as necessary. Analyse retail customer data to understand purchasing behaviours and trends, providing actionable insights for marketing and product development teams. Lead and manage the lifecycle of AI models from conception through deployment, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and impact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development, and retail analysts, to align projects and enhance data utilization across platforms. Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection standards in both educational and retail environments. Mentor and lead a team of data engineers and scientists, setting technical and project management standards. Prepare and present detailed reports on AI model development, performance metrics, and retail trend analyses to stakeholders. Design, execute, and manage research projects such as surveys, focus groups, and data analysis to gather insights on brand perception, consumer behaviour, and digital experiences. Monitor market trends, evaluate competitive performance, and provide insights to support strategies to optimize brand visibility and customer engagement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their research needs, interpret research findings, and make data-driven recommendations to support optimization and business growth, working with teams such as Product, Advertising, and Digital.
Requirements:

Extensive experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on AI applications in proctoring and familiarity with retail data analytics. Expertise in programming languages suitable for AI model development such as Python, Java, or Scala. Proficiency with machine learning libraries and frameworks necessary for developing and deploying sophisticated models. Demonstrated expertise in managing and utilizing a range of AWS services including Athena, Glue, S3, IAM, Cognito, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and Lake Formation to build and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions. Strong experience in using R Studio in conjunction with AWS services for data processing and analysis, providing a powerful platform for handling complex data sets and delivering actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to analyse retail datasets and derive insights that predict customer behaviour and trends. Experience with data visualization tools like Apache Superset, Metabase, and Google Data Studio to effectively communicate findings. Strong foundation in SQL and familiarity with various database technologies. Experience in managing large-scale projects in cloud environments, particularly using AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Pay: 31,487.00-34,049.00 per year
