Manager says:
The purpose of the tole is to support the Broking business through the development of high-quality information resources, and the delivery and the creation of presentations/whitepapers/survey insights to suit both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
Assist revenue production, client relationships, new business opportunities and drive business process innovation.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Awareness of the reporting deliverables required from the business & operations leaders and the proactive & timely delivery of such
Understand the data contained within the PAS, its use by the business and the end-to-end data journey and capture
Identify deficiencies in source data and assist with resolution
Liaison with clients, underwriters and Brokers
Ability to build and crate content that that is fit for internal and external audiences. Ability to weave a compelling story using design, content and visualisation towards the creation of RFPs, proposals and Client presentations.
Data Engineering to ingest, cleanse and collate data - ability to work with large amounts of data in an agile manner,
Creation of reports and analytics
Presentation of the reports to support business development
Work with finance and MI on annual budgeting
Working on backlog of specified work as part of an agile delivery team
Qualifications & Experience:
Educated to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst
Experience in insights and content creation.
Experience working in the Insurance Sector in a data-oriented role is essential, preferably with London Market Broking exposure.
Essential Skills:
Ability to understand data and translate this into meaningful business insights, reports and visualisations
Exposure to MongoDB as a data source

PowerBI Report Builder / Reporting Services
Proficient writing complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
Data modelling
Experience of software development lifecycle, working as a part of a team
Azure Data Factory
Insurance Sector domain knowledge
Analysis Services
Financial Reporting
Exposure to Agile development DevOps including automation of build and release
Experience on cloud tech (preferably Azure)
Experience in statistical analysis or Data Science
Python or R coding skills
Person Specification:
An enthusiastic Research and Data Analyst, able to understand complex data, able to work closely with IT development resources and business-people. Able to bring together different ideas and technology to help build successful IT solutions.
Able to exploit data and to present this in intuitive and appealing ways to derive benefits for all stakeholders.
Experience of building successful relationships with senior business stakeholders, offshore delivery partners.
Proactive & ability to plan and manage multiple priorities
Good knowledge of IT architecture and software development lifecycles.
Hands-on development skills in data related and reporting technologies, plus the ability to adapt an acquire new skills. PowerBI and advanced excel skills are essential.
