Role Overview:

The position of Data Analyst (Summer Placement) will support the expansion of JD across a variety of markets. Working within the Location Strategy Data team, the role will assist in collating retail venue and competitor data, to support the Location Strategy Analyst team's development and assessment of the JD store network.

Responsibilities:

Maintain International retail databases, including web scraping and geo-coding of key competitors and synergy retailer locations, to support the Group European banner strategy project. Support on competitor, customer profiling, and sales mapping for Outdoors. Support the update and development of JD Site Score Retail rankings, across both existing (ie. Europe) and new markets (ie. South Africa, Mexico, India). Collate PBM business packs, including trade area and venue synergy tenant mix plans. Update key shopping centre databases (ie. Australia Big Guns).

Requirements

Studying for Degree in Geography, Economics, Business or Data Science. Interest in spatial data and software. Strong level of attention to detail. Basic understanding of Excel. A good team player.
