Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from 52,400 to 61,800 and London 57,700 to 68,000 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

Are you interested in becoming part of a new data team that will help shape and deliver the future direction of the Payments and Digital Assets Directorate at the FCA? We are looking for motivated Senior Associates to join the Cross-cutting Market Analysis and Strategy department within this Directorate.
This department plays a key role in defining the FCA's strategies for payments and digital assets. It supports on designing and delivering the data strategy, identifying and managing risk, providing training, engaging externally, scanning the horizon and proactively identifying trends, among other responsibilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in the evolving world of payments and digital assets, while building deep expertise in these dynamic sectors.
What will you be doing?Present data analysis outcomes clearly and effectively, including to senior stakeholders, using impactful data visualisation techniques and tools to support choices Design and deliver data collection and evaluation initiatives aligned with the FCA's strategy for payments and digital assets, using both proprietary and open-source tools Collaborate across teams to develop and maintain dashboards with agreed metrics that support strategic and operational objectives Proactively identify opportunities to apply data evaluation and visualisation to support key projects and priorities across the Directorate Develop and implement advanced data-driven solutions that align with the central data management policy, support cultural change in data use and provide training to enhance data literacy

MinimumExperience of using Excel, SQL, R, Python, Tableau or other data analytics tools to interrogate, manipulate and evaluate data Experience in utilising data analysis for the delivery of departmental priorities Experience in Stakeholder Management

EssentialStrong reasoning skills with the ability to quickly grasp new information, understand complex issues and clearly communicate their implications Knowledge of the payments or digital assets sector, with a proactive and adaptable approach to learning Proven experience in creating data visualisation dashboards (e.g., using Tableau) and applying analytical skills to support sound, balanced choices Excellent stakeholder and relationship management, along with strong project management experience Ability to work at pace under pressure, demonstrating sound judgment and appropriately escalating issues when needed Comfortable managing ambiguity and competing priorities, working independently or as part of a team across multiple workstreams
