Job Purpose and Summary

Canon EMEA is looking for a Data and Analytics Senior Manager to join the Information, Technology and Communications Group (ITCG).

As a Senior Manager for Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for leading the organization\'s efforts to leverage data to drive insights, improve decision-making, ensure governance of all data and optimize business processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and execute data-driven strategies that support the achievement of the organization\'s goals. You will also be responsible for developing and managing a team of data analysts and data scientists.

Salary: between \xc2\xa374,142 and \xc2\xa390,418 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus

What we ask

As our Data and Analytics Senior Manager you will:
  • Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with the organisations goals and objectives
  • Lead business owner engagement to understand business strategy and key drivers and requirements. Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
  • Carry out analysis as required, covering on-line and off-line data and tools. Design and manage data projects with the application of project mngt skills
  • Manage the collection, analysis and interpretation of data to identify insights and drive decision-making that adds value.
  • Identify and extract ETL requirements as appropriate, relevant datasets for business/marketing intelligence reporting as well as advanced statistical modelling.
  • Liaise with the data engineering team and determine solutions for the business on the fill end to end analytics process
  • Application of statistical or machine learning techniques to solve business problems
  • Develop insightful and actionable recommendations based on data analysis and communicate to the business through visually inspiring dashboards, reports or presentations to the business.
  • Ability to work with a variety of data sources, such as web analytical tools, CRM systems and relational databases.
  • Leads innovation on new ideas with the data science team to drive growth and maturity in digital for Canon. Identify and recommend new sources, tools or technologies that can improve Canon\xe2\x80\x99s ability to leverage data.
  • Accountable for the maintenance and quality of data (including customer data), ensuring it is accurate, complete, reliable and secure.
  • Work closely with the data security team to ensure Canon is compliant and using data in the right way with the right permissions
  • Develop and manage a team of data analysts and data scientists, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they are delivering high quality work.
  • Play a key role in the running of the Marketing & Ecommerce operation and fully involved in management team meetings driving the key metrics of Sales, growth and PBT.
  • Play an active role in attending industry presentations and conferences to ensure Canon are up to date in the categories responsible under this role.
  • Active role in key Projects across Marketing and E-Commerce and the wider business.
You will need

As Data and Analytics Senior Manager you have:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in data analysis, data science, or a related field
  • Experience in managing a large analytics team of data analysts or data scientists
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, statistical analysis software (e.g. R, SAS), and machine learning tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow), Data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with technical and non-technical people
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Familiarity with data management and governance best practices (eg Informatica, Collibra)
  • Strong business and commercial awareness and experience working with Ecommerce websites
  • Experience of managing multiple agencies versus KPI/SLA framework

This is a hybrid role with an average of 3 days a week in the office.
