-The Role-
Join the University of Wales Trinity Saint David as a Data and Insight Officer, based in Swansea, and become an integral part of the Market Insight Team within the Marketing Directorate.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality, data-driven analysis and insights that inform strategic decisions across the University. You will manage big data, develop evidence-based reporting, and support programme portfolio development, digital analytics, and campaign evaluation. Collaborating with colleagues across the University, you'll provide expertise to enhance recruitment, marketing, and wider institutional objectives.
We would particularly welcome applications from recent graduates of data science or related degrees who are looking to apply their skills and knowledge to a professional role in a dynamic and innovative environment.
-About You-
We are looking for a data-savvy professional with:

• - A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
• - Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, and data visualization platforms like PowerBI or Tableau.
• - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
• - Experience in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R) and programming languages like SQL.
• - Excellent communication skills to explain data insights to diverse audiences.
• - A proactive attitude and attention to detail to drive continuous improvement.

Desirable: Experience in the higher education sector, knowledge of GDPR, and familiarity with Welsh (basic greetings or willingness to learn).
