We are looking for a Data Architect to be part of our growing Data Office as we set and deliver our Data Strategy, you will be responsible for working across our transformation projects and change initiatives to bring expertise and deliver a cohesive data architecture across the Society.

About the role

As a Data Architect here at Leeds Building Society you will lead data architecture across the Society and work closely with both the business stakeholders, IT Architecture and BI Development teams to provide a bridge between business needs, systems architecture and data architecture. Working across the agreed data platforms you will drive data design, set standards and act as a design authority during development phases, to move the Society to a cohesive data architecture.

What will you bring to the role?

We\'re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven delivery experience designing and implementing robust scalable data, reporting and analytics solutions incorporating multiple applications, systems and data sources to meet the needs of the business
  • Extensive Data Modelling experience, covering Conceptual, Logical and Physical models plus the use of data modelling tools such as SAP Power Designer, Erwin and Sparx EA
  • Detailed working knowledge of one or more of:
  • Azure Cloud, specifically Azure Datalake, ADF, Databricks and Lakehouse architecture
  • SAP HANA
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
  • SAS
  • A broad technological understanding of languages, frameworks, design patterns and architectural strategies
  • Understanding of the Society or similar Financial Services organisations and its key financial and business priorities
