The Data Architect implements the design, build and best practice for the data technology architecture, including metadata, integration and business intelligence or data warehouse architecture, working seamlessly with internal PDS and external partners to enable and fulfill multiple stakeholder requirements.

Key Responsibilities



Implement and manage the organisation's data architecture frameworks, guidance, maintenance and understanding of how data is processed and how it flows Work with senior stakeholders to align priorities and secure support Support the build, management and maintenance of data and analytics capabilities including design and build of solutions, data infrastructure, analytics tools, products and services Support the build, management and maintenance of data and analytics capabilities including assurance and controls, data management, data tools, products and services Detect and analyse early trends in data and analytics technology Support teams to realise opportunities for innovation Advise on new techniques and methods that address shared problems Implement organisational processes and ways of working so that data and analytics roles you support can thrive Continuously improve and optimise the organisational environment Implement and monitor performance to improve the Data and Analytics Delivery function Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

What you need to succeed in the role



Strategic Thinking: Ability to align data and analytics architecture with business goals and anticipate future needs Leadership: Proven capability to inspire and lead high-performing teams Data and Analytics Expertise: Deep understanding of Data and Analytics Delivery Innovation: Track record of driving transformation and leveraging emerging data and analytics technologies Communication: Significant ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical Problem-Solving: Adept at resolving complex challenges and making data-driven proposals Collaboration: Skilled at building partnerships across departments and with external stakeholders Significant, demonstrable experience in Data Architecture roles such as Data Architect or Senior Data Architect Extensive experience around Data Modelling Understands a variety of Metadata Management The ability to turn business issues into Data Architecture design Proven track record of supporting medium to large-scale data and analytics projects and programmes Excellent knowledge of data and analytics transformation, technical road mapping, and performance management Demonstrable experience in implementing data and analytics frameworks and data lifecycle processes
