Job Summary

The Senior Data Architect is responsible for designing and scaling the data ecosystem that powers next-generation telecom connectivity, automation, and customer insight. This role is pivotal in architecting robust, secure, and scalable data platforms, enabling intelligent network analytics and AI-driven service delivery. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and partner teams, ensuring data compliance and best practices while shaping the future of digital communications.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse existing data assets to uncover structure, lineage, and optimisation opportunities Design and implement data models, dictionaries, and mapping frameworks for scalable telecom platforms Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to deliver robust, real-time data solutions Leverage SQL, NoSQL, JSON, and JSON Schema for clean, efficient data systems Architect and evolve BI and analytics platforms, managing slowly changing dimensions, late-arriving data, and conflicting sources Ensure GDPR compliance and secure handling of customer data Design robust architectures aligned with business continuity objectives Work hands-on with Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and modern data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake) Stay ahead of trends in cloud data architecture, AI-driven analytics, and telecom automation

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as a Senior Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer in cloud, telecoms, or digital services Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and ideally Databricks Strong understanding of data architecture, integration, and modelling principles Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse platforms Deep understanding of Fabric/Synapse/Azure Data Factory/Data Lake Solid grasp of data pipelines, governance, and streaming data in distributed systems Skilled communicator able to align technical design with business outcomes Collaborative, curious, and comfortable in a remote-first, agile environment Interest in AI, machine learning, or network analytics is a plus Degree-educated in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar)
