Design, develop, and optimise scalable data models within Salesforce, with a focus on Service Cloud solutions.
Identify, investigate, and resolve data model issues, ensuring the data architecture remains robust, scalable, and in line with best practices.
Simplify and rationalise the data estate across a complex Salesforce landscape, streamlining data structures to improve efficiency and maintainability.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
Define and enforce data governance standards, best practices, and policies to ensure data consistency and quality across the organisation.
Lead data integration efforts between Salesforce and external systems, ensuring seamless and secure data flows.
Provide expertise on data migration, cleansing, and transformation activities during Salesforce implementations and upgrades.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data-related issues, recommending enhancements as required.
Stay abreast of Salesforce platform updates, particularly those related to Service Cloud, and assess their impact on existing data models and processes.
Mentor and guide junior team members on data architecture and modelling best practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience as a Salesforce Data Architect o Salesforce Certified Data Architect accreditation is required.
Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL models.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, including configuration and customisation.
Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving Salesforce data model issues.
Proven ability to simplify and optimise complex data estates in Salesforce, creating clear and efficient data structures.
Proficiency in Salesforce data tools (e.g., Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, SOQL, Salesforce Connect).
Solid knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
Experience with integration tools and APIs (REST/SOAP) for connecting Salesforce to other enterprise systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Salesforce certifications (such as Service Cloud Consultant) are highly desirable.
