Job Summary:

As our Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of hardware and software systems within a data center environment. This includes physical infrastructure, network systems, storage solutions, and power/cooling systems. The engineer ensures maximum uptime, implements security protocols, and supports operational efficiency through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and networking equipment and rack and stack hardware, manage cabling, and label infrastructure components.

Monitor and manage power usage, cooling, and environmental controls to ensure efficient operation. Perform regular backups, patch management, and firmware/software updates and execute routine maintenance procedures and emergency repairs as needed.
Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls and troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure secure, reliable connections.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data center or IT infrastructure role. Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage technologies (SAN/NAS). Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus. Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and common protocols.

Certifications (Preferred):

CompTIA Server+ / Network+ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Data Center specific certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS)
