Role: Data Engineer -Snowflake Developer



Location: Remote in the UK

Role Responsibilities



Develop

Snowflake scripts

using

Unix, Python

, and related tools to perform

data extraction, loading, transformation (ELT)

, and build

OLAP queries

. Demonstrate practical knowledge of

Snowflake components

such as

SnowPipe, SnowSQL, SnowPython, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, Data Sharing,

and

Stored Procedures

. Exhibit strong exposure to

Cloud Data Ecosystems

(Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hands-on experience with any

ETL tool

.

Must-Have Skill Set



Proficient in

Snowflake SQL

to design complex

stored procedures

, implement

data warehouse

and

ETL best practices

, and apply advanced

Snowflake data modeling

and

ELT techniques

. Develop and maintain robust

data architecture

and

data models

to support analytical and operational needs. Establish standardized

data flow procedures

and integrate efficiently with

third-party tools

and

Snowflake

. Collaborate with

data scientists, BI developers,

and

analysts

to design and build

custom data models and integrations

within Snowflake. Write, tune, and test

SQL queries

while performing

performance optimization

and

issue analysis

. Develop and maintain

Unix and Python scripts

to automate Snowflake operations and utilities. Gather and analyze

system requirements

to support data engineering and analytics initiatives.

Other Skills



5-6 years

of experience in relevant technologies. Strong understanding of

Agile principles and practices

. Proven ability in

requirements analysis

and

system feature design

. In-depth understanding of

software design principles, best practices,

and

object-oriented programming (OOP)

. Familiarity with

design and architectural patterns

and

modern software development processes

. Experience in

implementing automated testing platforms

and

unit testing frameworks

.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 400.00-450.00 per day

Experience:

Snowflake SQL : 3 years (required) Data modeling and ELT: 4 years (required) BI developers: 3 years (required) Snowflake: 3 years (required) * Python : 3 years (required)
