This is a hybrid role with regular travel in the London area. All applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Data Engineer specialising in Snowflake, you'll contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of cloud data platforms, often working with a wide array of cloud services and tools. You'll play a hands-on role in delivering data solutions that help clients extract insight and business value, while also promoting engineering best practices.



Key responsibilities will include:



Designing and implementing scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake Building efficient ELT/ETL pipelines using DBT and other modern tooling Writing and optimising complex SQL queries for large datasets Applying software engineering principles to data systems, including version control, testing, monitoring and CI/CD Working with cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP Performing architectural assessments and selecting fit-for-purpose solutions in collaboration with clients Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and operate solutions in production Supporting real-time and near-real-time data analytics initiatives Leveraging orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Azure Data Factory or Fivetran

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Solid experience designing and delivering Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions Strong background performing architectural assessments and collaborating with stakeholders to define optimal solutions Strong SQL skills with experience across relational and non-relational databases Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, Java or Scala Hands-on experience using DBT for pipeline development and transformation Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP Knowledge of orchestration tooling (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran)


Desirable:



Experience deploying AI/ML models in production environments Familiarity with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Kinesis, Athena) Exposure to real-time data streaming and analytics paradigms
