About the role:

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for Data Governance Analyst to join our highly talented and growing Data Governance team here at TransUnion. The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of data governance, data management, and data protection practices.

Day to day you will be:

• Engaging with a range of stakeholders to improve data governance and quality, and ensuring they are adequately supported and trained in their roles as Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data Users.
• Maintaining the data asset catalogue, documenting rules and controls, and building data lineage.
• Supporting the management of data issues to resolution, including collaboration with stakeholders and the Data Issue Response team.
• Reporting on data issues, risk, and performance to the Data Quality and Governance Manager.
• Ensuring new and existing data assets, products and services adhere to the Data Governance Framework, relevant policies, standards and controls.
• Driving engagement and awareness of data governance across the business.

What you\'ll bring:

• Knowledge and understanding of data management, data governance and data quality concepts..
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of technical and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Excellent organisation and time management, including working to deadlines with multiple deliverables.

We\xe2\x80\x99d love to see:

• Financial Services experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as other relevant legislation
• Understanding of or exposure to Credit Reference Agency products
• Experience and knowledge of documentation of data assets and data lineage
• Knowledge and experience of information lifecycle management
• Education to degree level, or otherwise suitable experience
