The role:



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Management Lead to establish and embed strong data management framework across Pulsant. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, this newly created role will be pivotal in defining and maintaining clarity around data domains, ownership, and the processes required to ensure data integrity, consistency, and strategic alignment. As the central point of coordination, this person will facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure data is effectively governed, managed, and prioritised across the organisation. This role will involve some national travel to deliver workshops and meet with key stakeholders.

What you'll do:



Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's data governance framework, policies, and standards. Define ownership, stewardship, and accountability across key data domains. Drive data quality, classification, lifecycle management, and compliance practices. Engage stakeholders to align priorities, resolve data issues, and promote adoption. Oversee governance processes for data changes, structures, and classifications. Partner with technical teams to ensure alignment with data architecture and strategy. Shape the strategic data roadmap and support business cases for investment. Champion a culture of data accountability, quality, and responsible usage across the business.

What / who we're looking for:



Experience of implementing data governance frameworks and metadata management in complex organisations and familiarity with data governance tools and platforms Background in process design and change management Strong understanding of data architecture principles and data modelling concepts Proficient in Excel (or other data mapping tool) Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings and managing stakeholder relationships Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools Familiarity with data architecture principles and how structured data supports business operations Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at all levels and lead cross-functional initiatives. Strong organisational and facilitation skills; able to run effective governance forums and working groups. Excellent communication and presentation skills
