DEPARTMENT: HR Systems
LOCATION: Birmingham
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to 42,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role is part of the Human Resources (HR) Systems team within People Services. This role reports to a Lead Data Manager and will be regarded a 'Subject Matter Expert' for processes and data associated with the BBC's HR Systems.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the team to deliver efficiencies through automation and technology utilisation. The candidate will work towards the aim of delivering a transparent User Experience for employees, contingent workers, team leaders and senior leaders.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

  • Working in collaboration with team members and the BBC Technology Group to deliver HR systems changes in line with the BBC's HR systems strategy and vision
  • Contributing to HR projects on behalf of the HR Systems team
  • Pro-actively working to identify and deliver continuous improvement across HR systems and processes, whilst assisting with the ongoing management of them
  • Supporting with the delivery of HR systems and process changes in adherence with the BBC's change management processes - including; assessment of change requests, testing, identification of training needs and communication with stakeholders
  • Manage mass data uploads and ensure data integrity across HR systems using tools such as Winshuttle and SAP Query Manager.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for end-users, and maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes and configurations.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
  • Experience of supporting IT/systems in a complex organisation of similar size and scale to the BBC
  • Confidence working with data sets of varying complexity with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Understanding of the BBC's HR systems usage and data across employee groups including staff, international and contingent workforce
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of change management processes
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
