About us

------------

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. For 200 years, our incredible lifeboat crews and lifeguards have shown selfless courage to rescue those in peril on the water. They are supported by a dedicated, professional, and talented team behind the scenes. This is your chance to join that team and use your unique skills to help save lives every day.

###

The Role

This isn't just about moving data; it's about laying the foundation of our digital future. As our Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for a critical and essential part of our transformation strategy: moving our most vital information from legacy on-premise systems to a modern, composable cloud-based architecture.

Your first major challenge will be to lead the migration for our new ERP system, a cornerstone of our organisation's operations. But your impact will be far broader. You will define and execute the organisation's framework for migrating data, which will become the department's blueprint for all future cloud migrations. The success of our entire data transformation, from generating new insights to powering our new platforms, rests on the quality and integrity of the data you deliver. You are building the bedrock upon which our future ability to save lives will be built.

Some of the benefits

Salary of circa 50,000 Up to an exceptional 16% employer pension contribution Flexible working and a culture that values work-life balance 26 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays Life assurance Excellent health and dental cashplan
###

About you

We think you'll be a pragmatic and detail-oriented data professional, ready to take on a challenge with real ownership. You have a passion for solving complex technical problems and, just as importantly, for collaborating with people to get the job done right.

We imagine you'll bring a blend of the following skills and experiences:

A background leading complex data migrations as part of a major business transformation programme (e.g., ERP, CRM, or Finance system replacement). Hands-on technical skills, particularly in SQL, for complex data transformation and embedding business logic. A strong understanding of the full data lifecycle in a project context, from source system analysis and mapping to data quality and validation. A talent for building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors. A structured approach to planning and managing a project workstream, proactively handling risks, issues, and dependencies.

If you are a hands-on problem-solver, ready to apply your technical delivery skills to a foundational challenge where the outcome is measured in lives saved, we would love to hear from you.
