What you'll be doing
The Data & Reporting Analyst will provide accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to support decision-making across the business. The role will focus on maintaining and developing regular reports and dashboards, troubleshooting issues, and responding to ad-hoc requests for data and analysis.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partner, the role will also provide support on budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, ensuring that both finance and wider business teams have the information they need to operate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis:
Maintain and update a suite of Power BI reports and Excel-based reports.
Ensure regular business reports are delivered accurately and on time.
Handle change requests and troubleshoot reporting issues, escalating to the Data Engineer or third parties where needed.
Produce ad-hoc reports or dashboards and respond to data requests from across the business.
Review sales and profitability performance and feed insights into relevant teams.
Data & Systems:
Work with the Data Engineer to maintain clean and accurate data feeds.
Assist in maintaining definitions, data maps and reporting documentation.
Support troubleshooting of data quality or system issues impacting reports.
Finance Support:
Support the preparation of financial analysis - including commercial strategies and adjustments, forecasts and variance analysis through collating and validating accurate data.
Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to enhance the budgeting process and the strategic support provided to business leaders.
Requirements
Essential:
Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, PivotTables, Power Query.
Experience with data modelling and visualisation tools (preferably Power BI).
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to prioritise workloads and manage recurring reporting deadlines with accuracy and reliability.
Clear and confident communicator who can explain data to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
Experience with SQL or willingness to learn.
Experience using Fabric and familiarity with data pipeline and ETL concepts.
Experience working with financial data (budgets, forecasts, P&L).
Exposure to data governance and reporting best practices.
