We are seeking a highly skilled Database Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database and data warehouse systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of data and stakeholders at the heart of MIS.

The MIS Systems Development & Reporting team are responsible for the MIS databases, reporting, internal web tools and associated services. The team leads on development and reporting projects, including end-to-end student records, to ensure that data is regulated, protected and presented in a professional manner. The team is dedicated to improving, developing, implementing and maintaining systems and data with the ultimate goal of ensuring students have a positive experience when they choose to study with us.

Interviews for this role will be in January 2024.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement and maintain MIS database systems, performing regular database maintenance tasks such as indexing, defragmentation, data purging and capacity planning.
  • Seek to identify and implement opportunities to optimise database performance and the data warehouse, including ETL processes, query and workload performance to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data and integration requirements and ensure databases meet business needs.
  • Create and manage database tables, views and stored procedures.
  • Lead on the architecture and development of the data warehouse and data processing pipelines.
About You

Experience in database administration/analyst and strong knowledge of relational database management systems.

Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, ETL processes and tools.

Proactive with a sense of ownership and accountability for your work.

Attention to detail, with the initiative and predilection to track down issues and find solutions.
