We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in various settings, including care homes, nursing homes, and private residences.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Support clients with mobility and physical activities as needed. Monitor and document changes in clients' health or behaviour, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel. Assist in the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs, including those requiring dementia care or hospice care. Engage in case management activities to coordinate services and resources for clients.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or senior care is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with care plans and medication administration is advantageous. Experience working with individuals requiring dementia care or hospice care is a plus. Certification in first aid or relevant caregiving qualifications would be beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
