Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, combined with a genuine passion for early childhood education and childcare. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, support children's development, and create a nurturing environment for both children and staff. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, safety, and educational quality within the nursery setting.

Duties



Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulatory standards Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver exceptional childcare services Develop and implement educational programmes that promote early childhood development Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and professional development activities Oversee the organisation of activities that support children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and resource planning Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages learning and development for children of all backgrounds Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursery services

Experience



Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development, and relevant legislation Experience working directly with children across various age groups Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Prior experience in childcare or nursery environments is essential Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting supplies or attending external meetings or training sessions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 33,000.00-45,675.05 per year
