Day shifts, 8:00am - 8:30pm

We are currently recruiting Day Shift Support Workers for our residential children's service in Romford. This bank role allows you to choose your availability and offers a route to more permanent hours if you wish to progress.

Your Responsibilities
Provide hands-on daily care and emotional support to young people
Build positive, consistent relationships that promote trust and wellbeing
Support education, independence skills, personal care and recreational activities
Contribute to structured care plans, behaviour support and safeguarding strategies
Maintain a safe, nurturing residential environment at all times
Accurately record notes and observations in line with policy requirements
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to ensure continuity of care
Support young people in community settings when required
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Experience working with children or young people in residential, education or care settings
Strong communication skills and confidence forming supportive relationships
Resilience, patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Sound understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Flexibility to work day shifts including evenings and weekends
A positive team-focused approach
Desirable
Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent
First Aid training
Experience supporting young people with complex emotional needs
Full UK driving licence
