Your Role
As a Day Support Worker, you will:
Provide practical and emotional support to children throughout the day.
Support daily routines including meals, personal care, education and activities.
Promote independence, positive behaviour and healthy choices.
Act as a keyworker, helping young people set and achieve personal goals.
Build strong, positive relationships through one-to-one and group support.
Safeguard and protect young people, following risk assessments and procedures.
Support household routines, including cooking, cleaning and maintaining a safe environment.
Keep accurate, clear records of daily care, incidents and progress.
Contribute to handovers, team meetings and reflective practice.
Engage in training, supervision and ongoing professional development.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 1 year of experience in residential childcare or a similar care setting (preferred).
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
A compassionate, resilient and child-focused approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care.
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
