We are recruiting

Day Shift Support Workers

to join our

therapeutic Ofsted-regulated children's residential home

in Goff's Oak, near Cheshunt. This role offers the chance to make a positive, lasting difference to young people aged 10-17 with emotional and behavioural needs, while developing a rewarding career in residential childcare.

Key Responsibilities



Provide consistent emotional, practical and social support to young people during daytime hours Encourage structured routines including meals, education, hobbies, appointments and activities Promote independence, decision-making and personal growth Act as a keyworker, supporting young people with personal goals and development plans Use trauma-informed practice to build trust, safety and self-esteem Maintain a safe, nurturing and structured living environment Record clear, accurate documentation in line with Ofsted standards Participate in team handovers, meetings and reflective practice sessions Engage in ongoing training, development and supervision

What We're Looking For



Experience supporting children or young people (residential care, youth work, social care, SEN or education preferred) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete) Empathy, patience, reliability and emotional resilience Ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people Understanding of safeguarding, trauma and professional boundaries Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
