An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic doggy daycare team.
This is a part-time position. Hours vary between 7am and 7pm weekdays.
We are looking for a special person to look after our pack of puppies as well as older dogs. The role will include managing safe play, leading games and activities, intensive cleaning, helping with lunches etc.
You will be responsible for leading a group of puppies/dogs in a series of varied activities.
You should have experience with animal welfare, dog behaviour (this includes more than just owning your own dog) and be happy to teach puppies certain commands and fulfil ongoing training needs.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of safe pack dog play (well managed) and be confident to interrupt dogs teaching them correct canine etiquette.
You should be able to recognise when puppies need a nap, enable relaxation and toilet breaks and should have a good knowledge of handling canine food and food hygiene.
The job is extremely hard physical work and includes maintaining an high level of cleanliness across all areas. It will include immediately clearing away all excrement and cleaning and sanitising areas.
You should be confident in leading a group of larger, older and higher energy dogs, and maintaining their focus on you. You will need to have a bubbly and outgoing personality as well as a good telephone manner.
You should have a full driving licence and a car and be happy to transport dogs in your own car in line with our transportation guidelines.
You should also be willing to learn our training programme and assist in puppy classes as and when required.
You should be extremely people friendly and have the ability to update dog parents on their puppy's progress on a regular basis. The right person will be able to convey their love for each dog and puppy and facilitate seamless arrivals and departures, so excellent communication skills are required.
You need to be confident working alone and trustworthy in order to facilitate opening up and lockup procedures.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
