Job Overview

We are seeking an outgoing individual to take on the job of estimating and follow up function within our fire and security business.

The role will come with training but any understanding of security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder systems or fire systems will be an advantage. This role would suit someone who has an engineering mindset and is happy talking to people on the phone and answering customer queries.

There is potential for this role to be included in our commission scheme once training is completed, working to sales targets along with the rest of the sales team. This is of course dependant upon hitting sales targets.

Duties

Take ownership of inbound sales enquiries and sales inbox. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand small project requirements and scope. Use internal quoting tools to generate specifications and quotes for customers. Speak with customers on the phone to establish their needs and where possible offer advice on the correct systems or kit they require. Follow up on quotes sent and projects enquired about. Maintain accurate records of previous estimates. Liaise with installation and service departments to gain information about jobs you are quoting for and around engineer visits. Keep up to date with industry regulations and changes to ensure our quotes are compliant.

Requirements

Strong computer skills, in particular MS Office. Understanding of installation work, processes, materials, and labour requirements. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Good maths, English and IT skills are a must.
