Reporting into the Head of Logistics you will be responsible for the leadership of a management team and their team of warehouse operatives through the relevant processes. More specifically the delivery and performance of Boux warehouse operations for retail deliveries to store, and eCommerce delivery to customers. This involves meeting expectations on the internal and external productivity, service, safety and cost KPI's of the site. You will provide your team with clear leadership, communication, guidance and support to ensure the right process and procedures are followed and performance metrics are achieved.
Responsibilities
:
Lead the Management Team to deliver and exceed the performance targets of the site
Act as the line manager for the four operational Team Managers and in turn their team of Team Leaders and operatives
Continually work to drive a continuous improvement, high performance and recognition culture across the site and role model with the Management team
Role model our values and Boux culture across all aspects of the role, promoting an engaging and positive environment ensuring that your team enjoy coming to work.
Play a key role in the delivery of the operational plan for manpower, volumes, cost and service for the Boux
Understand the DC processes and flow of work through the operation and what the key levers are
Become proficient in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) JDA/Dispatcher
Ensure our automation (Suresort sorter) is fully utilised
Support the Head of Logistics with the delivery of the departmental budget ensuring that cost efficiencies are achieved
Operate with the pace required to increase productivity, improve accuracy and process adherence
Ensure that all Health and Safety Policies and Practices are rigorously complied with and improved to achieve a safe Customer working environment
Attract and grow talent, improve capability to retain a high performing team and have a robust succession plan in place at all levels
Always Consider the bigger picture and the impact your decisions have on the entire operation, communicating with honesty and taking accountability for outcomes
Ensure regular reviews take place across key areas that encourages diversity of thinking to drive commercial and operational improvements
Focus on the wellbeing and engagement of your wider teams to ensure all understand the strategy, the part they play and are recognised for their achievements
Engage the management team at all times using various communication forums
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business
Other ad hoc duties as required for the proper performance of the DC
What are we looking for?
A strong leader who can set standards for our operation and ensure they are maintained
Extremely confident in communicating at all levels particularly your own team and their warehouse operatives, verbal and written
Understand issues quickly in a rational manner and facilitate plans to address them
Good analytical skills
Highly professional approach
Solid IT skills in particular spreadsheets and a good knowledge of warehouse processes
Good planning skills, able to meet targets and deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and process minded
Experience in leading a team in a warehousing and logistics environment
Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement
A team player with a positive attitude towards work and colleague engagement
Dealing with conflict as required
Highly experienced in relevant HR processes to the required level
Highly committed, leading by example consistently and be prepared to have a presence across all shifts on occasion
