Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries and vans, for the transportation of goods. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Assist in storage operations as needed, including inventory management and stock replenishment.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type. Knowledgeable and experienced in using vehicle transport trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred but not essential.
