Maes Glas Vets Veterinary and Hospital Practice: Debt Manager
We are a 5-branch veterinary practice situated in South Wales. Our RCVS accredited hospital is located in Bridgend. We are an organisation committed to providing excellent customer care in the form of a large range of in-house medical and surgical services. An opportunity has arisen within our Brackla practice for a Debt Manager Role.
This role will suit a self-motivated individual who has the confidence to work with minimum supervision. We are seeking an organised, diligent, detail focused, driven individual with excellent time management skills for this role. To show empathy, good communication skills and experience to provide high standards of care and the personal touch that we expect for our clients.
We anticipate the role would be a 3-4 day position, flexibility around hours available. Salary to reflect experience and any additional qualifications: up to 24700pa
Roles and responsibilities:
Develop and instigate payment protocols and debt management systems within the practice
Oversee debt management across all the branches, work with administrative team to ensure timely payment of both invoices and insurance claims
Recoup outstanding debt with support of administrative team
Manage and monitor any staged or incomplete payments
Act as the primary point of contact for our debt collection service, managing daily interactions regarding client accounts, balances, payment arrangements, and disputes.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all communication and data handling comply with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and company policies, whilst always maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.

Able to prioritise work based on deadlines and level of importance
High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills and experience in customer care
Must be trustworthy, empathetic and discreet
Excellent IT skills including proficiency in excel
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Previous debt collection experience, or experience in a customer service environment
Some veterinary clinical experience would be ideal but not essential for the right candidate
Full Driving license required
