About the Role



The Tuition College is seeking a confident, organised and experienced individual to take ownership of our outstanding arrears recovery process, alongside supporting the wider administration of our growing education centre.

This is not solely a debt recovery role. You will act as a key

office support lead

, working closely with the Centre Manager and Head of Centre to ensure:

Outstanding arrears from former parents are recovered professionally and efficiently Core office administration runs smoothly Parents remain well-informed Our social media presence and website are regularly updated
The historic debt review has now been completed, so this role focuses solely on active arrears cases where invoices remain unpaid after students have left the centre. You will manage this end-to-end - from contact and negotiation through to escalation when required.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, multi-tasking, and being genuinely involved in the everyday running of a business.

Key ResponsibilitiesArrears Recovery & Credit Control (Lead Responsibility)



Review and manage outstanding arrears accounts. Contact parents by phone, email and letter to secure overdue payments. Negotiate payment plans where necessary and ensure commitments are followed through. Escalate unresolved cases via appropriate recovery channels (including small claims where required). Maintain clear and accurate records of communications and agreements. Provide reporting updates to management on balances, progress and outcomes.

Office Administration & Centre Support



Process and update invoices, payments, and student account records. Manage staff and student attendance tracking. Support the Centre Manager and Head of Centre with administrative work packages. Communicate clearly and professionally with parents regarding accounts and centre matters. Maintain accurate documentation and record keeping using Excel and internal systems. Assist with day-to-day operations to ensure the centre runs efficiently during evenings and weekends.

Marketing, Website & Social Media



Manage the centre's business social media accounts (content posting, basic engagement scheduling). Create simple promotional material and photography to showcase classes and student successes. Keep website content up to date with services, events, and announcements. Assist with local marketing initiatives and promotions as required.

About You



You will need to be confident, organised, professional, and comfortable working independently to a high standard.

Essential:



Previous experience in credit control or debt recovery. Confident, professional and authoritative telephone manner. Able to handle sensitive financial conversations firmly but tactfully. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office ability. Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines without close supervision. Experience in general office or administrative roles. Ability to use social media and basic digital marketing confidently.

Desirable:



Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar finance systems would be an advantage. Experience updating websites or online content. Background working within education, training or childcare environments.
