Acre has partnered with a global corporate services company that embraces ambition, innovation, and sustainability, servicing over \xc2\xa3120B AUM across Europe. We\'re working with the business to strengthen their European ESG team through the addition of an experienced real estate decarbonisation specialist.

As Decarbonisation Lead, reporting to the Head of ESG, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for leading the development and management of their decarbonisation offering. At a high level, you will be working with portfolio companies to ensure they are well-positioned to deliver on decarbonisation goals by adopting a strategic, value-driven approach to asset CapEx and OpEx, proactively identifying and mitigating asset-stranding risk, while supporting asset, company and/or fund objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the PE firm to develop and manage its approach to decarbonisation, ensuring processes are in place to effectively integrate carbon reduction at each stage of the asset lifecycle

Reviewing and standardising the approach to embedding carbon considerations in the acquisition process, including integration in technical due diligence workstreams

Supporting the co-ordination of effective ESG data management by guiding the onboarding process for their third-party energy management platform and advising on complementary hardware/software solutions and consultancy support to deliver accurate, high-quality data flows

Supporting the rollout of net zero carbon pilot audits for selected assets and assisting portfolio companies, helping them to effectively implement recommendations

Develop a network of capable delivery partners, overseeing projects to ensure outputs are delivered to the required standard, and act as a liaison between portfolio companies and delivery consultants, where needed, to support conversations on cost and quality

Candidates should come with the technical knowledge and proven track record in developing and implementing carbon reduction programmes across the real estate sector as well as the ability to foster great internal and external relationships.

Skills/experience required:

Experienced programme manager, comfortable with pan-European scope and delivery across a variety of real estate asset classes, including offices, residential and logistics, among others

Deep understanding of the real estate investment industry and familiarity with all stages of the asset lifecycle from acquisition through disposal

Deep understanding of the key scientific, regulatory, and market developments related to carbon management in real estate, including but not limited to, operational and embodied carbon, net zero transition, SBTs and CRREM pathway modelling

Advanced data management skills and appreciation of the challenges associated with utility data collection for different asset types and the corresponding range of solutions available

Excellent communication skills to successfully deliver a complex programme of work and build productive, enduring relationships with colleagues across the portfolio company network, and with external partners
