Dental Decontamination Nurse & Receptionist

Location: Holmfirth Dental Surgery with flexibility to work at Meltham Dental Care when required

Position: Part-Time (22 hours) Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - with flexibility to work other days - please note start times are 8.15am latest finish time 6.15pm

Salary: 10.00 - 12.21 per hour

Dental Decontamination Nurse & Receptionist

. This dual role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

Decontamination Nurse Duties:

Carry out the full cycle of instrument decontamination in line with HTM 01-05 guidelines Maintain sterilisation equipment and ensure proper record-keeping Monitor and manage stock of decontamination supplies Support clinical staff by ensuring timely availability of clean instruments

Receptionist Duties:

Greet patients warmly and ensure an excellent front-of-house experience Schedule and manage appointments using dental practice software Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person Process payments and maintain accurate records Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality policies Requirements Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting (preferred) Knowledge of infection control and decontamination processes Excellent organisational and multitasking skills Proficient in computer use Friendly, professional, and patient-focused Happy to have Hep B vaccination
Requirements

Desirable Qualifications

Valid DBS certificate Dental Reception experience Decontamination or cross-infection control trained
