We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will carry out decontamination duties and support the dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual to have full training within the practice and to enrol on the NEBDN course. The role requires an individual who is passionate about patient care and looking to develop their career in dental nursing.
Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments, ensuring procedures run smoothly and efficiently
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and ensure all equipment is clean and ready for use
Provide support to patients, including explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring their comfort throughout appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and update files with relevant information
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice
Support administrative tasks such as stock control and ordering supplies
Skills
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and using practice management software
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
