We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to join our decoration department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of screen-printing processes in the plastics industry, excellent supervisory skills, and the ability to ensure smooth, efficient and high-quality production operations.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee daily operations in the decoration department, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.
Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and operators.
Monitor quality and machine performance.
Implement corrective actions when required.
Plan and allocate materials and labour resources efficiently.
Support continuous improvement in productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with quality and health and safety policies.
Assist the Production manager in process improvement, staff training and performance management.
About You:
Experience in plastic bottle screen printing or related production environment.
Strong understanding of the screen-printing process, machinery, and quality control.
Demonstrate supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent organisational skills, problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
An excellent team player with effective interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with others.
Honest, reliable and accountable.
Hard-working with a positive 'can do' attitude.
Open to embracing challenges and adapting to change when required.
