DNH Construction is on the lookout for a talented Decorator with great finishing skills to join our friendly and growing team! We specialise in insurance repair work across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset, restoring homes to their best with a professional finish clients can trust.

Role Highlights:

As part of our decorating team, you'll be responsible for:Interior & exterior paintingWallpapering & surface finishingWoodwork finishing (doors, skirting, architraves, window frames, etc.)Adding those final touches that make all the difference

Duties

Applying paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, and surfaces in accordance with project specifications. Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to decoration work. Mixing colours and selecting appropriate materials to achieve desired visual effects. Operating relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project requirements are met within deadlines. Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Assisting with minor construction painting tasks as required. Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in decorating, including construction painting and surface finishing. Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation between sites. Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour coordination and aesthetic quality. Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a collaborative team. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks over extended periods. Experience in decorating & woodwork finishing (insurance work experience a bonus)

Full UK driving licence

Professional attitude with excellent attention to detail
