Defendant Litigation Executive

An excellent opportunity has become available to become a member of the Defendant Litigation team within OCL Solicitors. This opportunity gives you the chance to work for a specialist personal injury law firm which with a good starting salary and which has great scope for internal progression and multiple staff benefits.



As an RTA Defendant Litigation Executive you will progress cases, under supervision, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients under the terms of the client service level agreement. The main duties will include:

Action all cases (including Personal Injury and Credit Hire disputes) in line with client service standards and protocols, ensuring the monitoring and completion of MI as required; Use of the case management system and use of standard documentation wherever appropriate to maximise cost efficiency; Utilise negotiation and communication skills to proactively settle/assist in the settlement of cases to the satisfaction of the client whilst further developing legal technical knowledge; Analyse risk and utilise commercial knowledge to develop sound judgement in order to justify decisions in the management of cases; Prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service level agreements and deadlines are met; Work flexibly and as part of a team to deliver an excellent legal service for clients;

Ability to learn fast and efficiently in a professional environment Ability to manage a large work load A high standard of English/grammatical skills A confident phone manner Good IT skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team 1 year previous litigation experience

Key responsibilities:



Drafting letters to clients and relevant parties Taking client calls and updating them on the progress of their claim Liaise with Insurers, Clients and other Third Parties Ensuring case load is managed effectively and efficiently at all times

Hours

: 37.5 hours a week being Monday- Friday 09:00 - 17:30 with a 60 minute break allowance working on a remote hybrid rota, following a period of in-office training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 24,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Doncaster DN4 5RA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:

A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:

Litigation: 1 year (required)
