Defi Assistant Portfolio Manager

Job Description

Join our asset management team as a foundational member supporting the management of our expanding range of fully on-chain DeFi strategies. This role combines traditional portfolio management excellence with cutting-edge decentralized finance expertise, managing on-chain segregated mandates, both multi-strategy & protocol specific vaults, and on-chain strategies wrapped in traditional fund structures.


As an Assistant Portfolio Manager, you'll contribute to the daily activities associated with our existing and future DeFi strategies as well as cover bottom up research across strategy universes. This role offers significant learning opportunities and growth potential for DeFi enthusiasts with experience in asset management.


The roleholder will be risk savvy, operate with intellectual honesty, be curious and approach the role with a growth mindset. Running daily portfolio activities requires the individual to be highly organised, able to plan on a daily, weekly and monthly cadence as well as having the ability to multitask.

Requirements



Portfolio management and operations



Implement daily portfolio management activities across segregated mandates, vault strategies and traditional fund structures Take ownership of portfolio rebalancing process Contribute to and develop portfolio monitoring and risk management processes Liaise with vault protocols to enable strategy implementation Support performance analysis and attribution processes

Research and analysis



Conduct bottom up analysis of DeFi collateral types, new stablecoins, novel yield bearing assets, and new protocols from a credit risk perspective Contribute to DeFi research tasks e.g. development of investment thesis's on new and emerging DeFi protocols Over time forge relationships with other DeFi teams Prepare documentation for monthly Investment Committee Prepare quarterly regulated fund performance reporting for fund boards

Business development support



Contribute to RFP processes becoming the RFP point of contact for the sales function Input into business development collateral production; factsheets, product decks, one pagers etc

Process automation



Identify automation opportunities using Python, AI tools and other technologies to improve operational efficiency Contribute to and maintain robust processes for risk management.
Experience

Required skills and competencies



Passion for DeFi - enthusiasm for and solid understanding of decentralised finance protocols Portfolio management and fund operations - experience of fund management operations and performance attribution Analytical skills - strong quantitative analysis and attention to detail Process - ability to build efficient processes Automation - proficiency in python and willingness to leverage automation tools

Preferred skills and competencies



DeFi credit risk: experience with DeFi credit risk analysis and protocol due diligence Stablecoin ecosystem: knowledge of stablecoin space and common designs Performance analysis: understanding of performance analysis and attribution experience with knowledge of Dune a plus

Qualifications




You have a bachelor's degree or higher.


You have at least 5 years of experience in fund management.
