Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring food safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and organised work environment, and contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional products where appropriate. Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary to ensure product availability. Maintain cleanliness in the deli area, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Requirements

Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices is essential. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during peak hours. Passion for food preparation and customer service is highly desirable. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
