Job Summary

Cured is a high quality, independent Sandwich Shop in Crouch End, North London. We are looking for a friendly and efficient Deli Assistant with good understanding of Italian Cured Mand Cheeses to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while preparing and serving coffee, sandwiches, salads and juices. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times. The position is suitable for individuals with a passion for food service and excellent organisational skills.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of Sandwiches, salads, coffe and juice, ensuring high quality and presentation standards. Prepare ingredients for service, including Chicken Milanese, Roasted Vegetables, Bread. Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Assist customers with their orders, providing friendly and efficient service. Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system, including giving correct change. Restock shelves and display units as needed, ensuring products are well-presented and within expiry dates. Keep the work area clean and organised throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the deli section.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or serving is advantageous, particularly in a deli or cafe environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if required. Strong basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours. Good organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and stock levels. Friendly attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. You will also be required to work Bank Holidays.

English language is essential and Italian is a bonus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 22 per week
