Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food products. Your culinary skills and knowledge of food safety will ensure that our customers enjoy delicious meals in a clean and welcoming environment. This job is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday's, shift's are a variety 9:30-6, 10-6, 06:30-14:30

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of deli items salads, and sandwiches, adhering to food safety standards. Keen interest in food preparation and baked goods. Everything is homemade at the Curious Deli. If you're a keen baker we'd love to hear from you!! Opportunity to learn prep experience, making our famous scotch eggs. Assist customers by providing recommendations and upselling additional products to enhance their dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised and stocked. Handle food preparation tasks efficiently while managing time effectively to meet customer demands. Perform basic maths calculations for weighing and pricing deli items accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the kitchen environment. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and product measurements. A friendly demeanour with the ability to engage positively with customers. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing menus or procedures within the deli department.
